This place is clean, offers great value, has a marvelous location adjacent to a hill, and the room with a sea view was fantastic with handy amenities like hairdryers and slippers.

I go to Istanbul a lot and I tried all sorts of hotels from the 4 stars in Taksim up to the Ritz Carlton but this is the most unique among all. It is a converted mansion in one of the very small alleys of Sulaymeneye mosque area, a short walking distance to the Grand bazar and major ancient sightseeing places so location is superb since you can enjoy the walk while grapping a conversation with the locals who are very friendly. It used to be the former house of Hayriye Hanim, an Ottoman lady who lived in the 19th century. Hayriya means generous and kind and that was for real reflected in the one of a kind hospitality and incredible service of the staff. Starting from the pickup at the airport up to the final goodbye. They were unbelievably helpful and wouldnt spare an effort to fulfill any request. Generosity was the theme of the breakfast as they served a wide range of delightful Turkish Dishes teasing the most foody taste buds while enjoying a fabulous view over the Bosporus ... Ah and the breakfast room had a fire place which was very charming. I enjoy space so i booked the superior double room. It has an awesome design reflecting the luxury of the Ottoman times with great views as well. Needless to say, it was very clean and comfortable. The hotel offers free high speed wifi which was a plus for business visitors. I also enjoyed an intellectual conversation on my last night with the owners over a bunch of warm chestnuts which made feel like being cozy at a friend's place! I am a hard to please customer but I can't find one thing to complain about! I felt I am very welcomed, pampered and treated as a respected friend. I highly recommend this lovely hotel which I will visit again very soon! Buraq, Umer, Lutfeyi, Farida and Nouh thank you all. Looking forward to see you soon. Tashakor ederim :)

The hotel staff were welcoming. The offer to pick us up at the airport was excellent as we arrived late in the evening and didn't know our way around yet. The hotel is about a 10 -15 minute walk from Hagia Sofia. The rooms were quiet, the breakfast good and the restaurant has a lovely view to the Golden Horn and Bosporus Bridge. We were there for the Istanbul Marathon and they went early to get bread for us as we had to leave before the formal breakfast time started. All the staff were helpful and the hotel felt serene. Dinner is also available at the hotel and there is a cafe up the street. The hotel is in a residential area that most people would term as a "fixer upper" area. However, we were safe and the local people were welcoming. This is a great, unique hotel that welcomes you and isn't a chain.
Nothing! We would recommend it.

Very friendly staff so helpful and always with a smile. The room was very comfortable and clean.
The residents above us were very noisy. Late at night and again in the morning. They sounded like a heard of Elephants above. But that is people at fault not considering other guests.

I liked the view and the old fashioned which now is small hotel.tyle of the hotel. They tried to keep the soul of that house which now is small hotel.
I stayed in really small room with no view. My room obviously belonged to some of the servants in the past - so tiny was. I would not stay in the same room for the same ammount I have paid. I would say that the rooms are not as big and comfortable as they are shown in the web site. Probably they use the best one to be pictured but the truth is - rooms are small. I was with a familly, friends of mine, they have booked a sea view room but it was not the same one from the pictures. The restaurant - tiny again. No room for everybody to have breakfast.

The hotel is located in a busy central location, right in the heart of Istanbul. It is very comfortable and clean with a lovely terrace (unfortunately the view is dominated by construction at the moment). The rooms are a decent size, high ceilings, with modern bathrooms. Breakfast was very tasty and a good selection.
I booked the hotel as it had a pool, unfortunately the pool is in the shade for most of the day so is not really an option for sun-bathing.
